Jugendschutz.net, die Kontrollstelle der Bundesländer für Jugendschutz im Internet, habe 2007 über 2600 Verstöße gegen den Jugendschutz erfasst.
Bei Seiten, die im Ausland betrieben werden, funktionierten die Kontrollmechanismen aber nicht. Hier seien die Internet-Provider in Deutschland in der Pflicht. (dpa)

Harte Drogen im Spiel?

JA WIE HOCH IST DENN BITTE DER WOECHENTLICHE KOKSBEDARF UNSERER POLITIKER?!
Anders kann ich mir die total rueckstaendige Ansichtsweise und Aeusserungen die meiner Ansicht nach nur Schnappsideen sein koennen garnicht erklaeren.
Es entzieht sich meines Verstaendnisses wie sich jemand “im Namen des Jugendschutzes” an allen muendigen Deutschen vergehen kann und sich damit noch profiliert?

Wenn man keine Moeglichkeit hat mit sinnvollen Beitraegen auf sich aufmerksam zu machen, Frau Stewens, dann sollte man ABTRETEN und das Amt an jemanden abgeben der FAEHIG ist klar zu denken!

From what I hear, the demand for people experienced in cutting submarine cables is quite high at the moment.
I smell big business.
Joint ventures with submarine cable repair companies would be win-win.
I’m sure the US can supply plenty of contractors to mess up the job.

It’s becoming obvious that this is not a coincidence.

Reports of the FOURTH submarine cable that got cut just came in.
Who’s trying to make ANYONE believe this is just a mere coincidence or unlucky accidents?

DOHA (AFP) — An undersea telecoms cable linking Qatar to the United Arab Emirates was damaged, disrupting services, telecommunications provider Qtel said on Sunday, the latest such incident in less than a week.
The cause of the damage is not yet known.

Of cooouuurrrssseee, yes! just! another! coincidence!

Tell that to whoever you like.
But this is beyond conspiracy, this is just too statistically improbable to not be deliberate.

There have also been reports that there were NO ships present at the time the cables were cut.
And even better, no one’s gonna fix it any time soon, because of the bad weather.

I was just posting how Iran got conveniently (partly?) cut off the Net four hours ago.

But now there’s even more!

Here’s the stuff to fuel the conspiracy:
US plan to launch Cyber Storm 2 early March.

Just let me quote some of the nicer key points of Cyber Storm 2:

• Imagined villains include hackers, bloggers and even reporters.
• Multi target attacks:
  1. Hacker break-ins at an airline
  2. stolen commercial software blueprints
  3. problems with satellite navigation systems
  4. trouble with police radios in Montana
  5. school closures in Washington
  6. Miami and New York
  7. computer failures at border checkpoints

What has this to do with Iran?

I sincerely hope nothing at all.
But be aware of the fact that on 9/11 there were large terrorist attack drills² happening during the attacks that “confused” the officials.
Coincidence! You say.
Well, there also were mock attacks staged during the 7/7 London bombings³.

9/11, 7/7, 3/x ?

Now they’ve scheduled a large cyber war drill for early March this year, and conveniently, just in time, Iran is offline.
No chance of grass-roots reporting, blogging, direct and unfiltered news from Iran.

If there were something to happen that seems like terrorist attacks and the government later uses it to start something ‘funny’...

The problem seems to be local, since the University in Tehran is indeed still reachable.

It’s not just one or two¹ submarine cables being cut affecting the browsing experience in Egypt, India, etc.

Well, it’s not like I’m not used to getting tones of these, but this is what made me throw up in my mouth:

In the days of iPhones pooping popping up on every website and impressing the crowd with an unique user interface, Alex Faaborg, who recently joined Mozilla as User Experience Designer, wrote some interesting things about it on the mozilla blog.
I use the Mac application Quicksilver myself a lot – the combination of command line (or as geeks refer to as “CLI” – go and look it up yourself) and GUI is the most powerfull I’ve experienced so far for the shorter commands. For longer commands I tend to go back to the terminal (started with quicksilver of course).

Heute hätte ein Techniker der Telekom oder eines von der Telekom beauftragten Unternehmens kommen sollen, um den Port auf Freenet umzustellen. Leider kam er nicht, obwohl ich von 8 bis 16 Uhr gewartet habe, 2 Stunden mehr als vorgegeben.

Um 15 Uhr erkundigte sich eine Mitarbeiterin von Freenet, ob “der Termin stattgefunden hat”. Ich verneinte und seufzend machte Freenet einen neuen Termin aus: in 8 Tagen, wieder zwischen 8 und 14 Uhr.

Ich hoffe, dass es diesmal klappt. Ich will endlich mein eigenes Internet haben und Festnetz!

Verbraucher aufgepasst

Nun muss ich darauf achten dass Freenet nicht schon ab heute (28. März 2007) den Vertrag laufen lässt. Dass die Telekom geschlampt hat, kann nicht mein (Geld-)Problem sein; ich habe auch keine Lust, mir den – zugegeben, kleinen – Teil von der Telekom wieder zu holen.

Vielleicht kommt Freenet mir ja entgegen und überlässt mir so ein USB-WLAN-Dongle… :-)

In meiner stuttgarter Nerd-WG mit AJ ging das Umschalten sehr geschmeidig. Nun weiß ich, wie es in der Service-Wüste aussieht.

So kam es dazu

Sortiere also mehr oder weniger fröhlich meine alten Comics und “Heftle” und stoße dabei auf Titanic – Das Endgültige Herrenmagazin. Ja, Ausgabe Nummer 9 vom September 2001; damals noch für frische 7 D-Mark zu haben. Die nackte Frau auf der Titelseite muss mich damals zum Kauf bewogen haben; der Inhalt kann es nicht gewesen sein, denn es ist die erste und einzige Titanic die ich seitdem gekaut habe, und ich kann mich nicht an einen einzigen Beitrag erinnern.

So ging es weiter

Aus Ermangelung anderen Lesematerials blättere ich im Heft herum und stoße auf den Beitrag “Future Banking – Ein Erlebnisbericht von Dietmar Dath”. Ich fange an zu lesen.

Ich zitiere:

Das fand ich schön kurz (naja!) und knackig (schon!) auf den Punkt gebracht.

Die Zukunft: Hitler ist schon wieder der Erste

Ich sehe schon den nächsten Trend: irgendeine arme Sau hat noch nicht gelernt dass Kommentare nur des Willens, erster zu sein, Scheiße sind, und wird folglich von allen anderen Kommentatoren als Hitler beschimpft. Als nächstes lauten die ersten Kommentare dann nicht mehr “HA! Erster!” sondern “HA! Erster Hitler!” was dem Ganzen dann eine zynisch-ironische Note gibt und das Klima in den Foren nicht wirklich verbessert.

Können wir Herrn Hitler nicht einfach mal weglassen und zu herkömmlichen Beleidigungen greifen? Was ist eure Lieblingsbeleidigung außer “Hitler”?
