According to several news sites, Microsoft did it again.
Internet Explorer 8 is here, the Microsofts newest offspring for their attempt to create a new world order … ehrm … web standard web browser.

The very funny thing is, that every time Microsoft is releasing a new IE version you can find almost everywhere quotes like:
“Now that we have installed the new Internet Explorer 8 beta 1, developers need to make their site IE8 compatible.”
Excuse me, did I missed something?
We commercial web developers, have to care about alot of web browsers at the moment. And with this release we have to test THREE Internet Explorer versions (6,7,8).
According to webstandards.org, IE8 is also cheating to pass the ACID2 test at the offiial website. hah funny, isn’t it?
Other websites reporting, that IE8 is looking what kind of FireFox add-ons you have installed and is trying to search for IE counter-parts.
Let’s hope they introducing a ‘Internet Explorer 6 compat mode’ in the final. Then beside the ‘IE7 compat mode’ and the ‘new & fantastic’ developer tools, is that the killer feature we are still missing.
Thanks to Microsoft, for another piece of crap software the world doesn’t need has waited for.
